It's warming up and summer is pretty much here! As a Board, pool operations are on the forefront or our minds at the moment. A few weeks ago, we outlined our challenges and some of the decisions we need to make in regards to hiring lifeguards over the summer on our website. With minimal feedback on this issue, we elected to hire a Club Attendant who is focused on the safety of the pool, testing and the keeping the facility in good working condition and will not be hiring lifeguards except on a few select dates we know will be busy: May 29th, June 2, July 4, August 1st and September 4th. We as residents must really take responsibility for the safety of our kids, taking care of our facility and insuring we all follow the rules. Please take note of the following rules that are currently an issue - especially with kids:
- No running or playing tag around the pool area
- No standing on or removing the lane / bouy line
- No bikes, scooter or skateboards around the pool area
We are monitoring pool usage this summer and will keep you in the loop.
