New Management Company
We are so excited to announce our new management company, Community Association Management! Last month after significant research and interviews, the Highland Oaks Board of Directors voted to terminate our contract with Jean Bates and Associates and engage with Community Association Management of Pleasanton.
We would like sincerely thank Jean Bates and Associates for their years of service - we would not be where we are today without their help!
Why are we changing?
Change is good sometimes. Our motivation to make a change in our management was based on the following:
1. Service
After our research, we discovered that we could have a significant increase in our level of service with a new management company. CAM (Community Association Management) will be providing full service management while previously had financial management only. What this means for residents is that there will always be someone available to serve you. We will have a dedicated Community Manager that will assist with managing our vendors, insuring our Cabana Club Key access is current and managed well and facilitate all aspects of our financials. Residents will be able to visit the CAM office if needed with ease as they are located right in Pleasanton.
2. Support
As a volunteer board, it can be challenging to manage our amazing property, keep up with improvements (Hello, Pool Bathrooms!) and serve the needs and questions of all of our 361 residents. Monthly meetings, creating agendas, updating our website - quickly fill up our calendars. CAM is going to be an incredible resource for us as they assist us with our board meetings, provide insight on best practices and help to keep us on track legally and financially. We as a board look forward to focusing more on building community, keeping everyone informed through our website and email news, club improvements and special events as CAM takes over much of the day to day tasks. There will be a 24-hour phone number provided for us for emergencies and issues that arise that will insure things are taken care of efficiently and effectively.
3. Experience
As we move closer to the pool bathroom renovation, we are excited to have the depth of experience that CAM brings to our community and projects. We are actively looking at our financial situation and projecting for the future. CAM's experience with communities like our is an invaluable resource as we chart a new course for the coming years ahead.
What's next?
We are in a transition mode for the month of August and will be full transferred over to CAM on September 1. We will be in touch in the next two weeks to provide you all the info you need as well as contact information. Stay tuned for more details!
This is an exciting time in the life of our neighborhood. New families connecting with long time residents, people of all generations and from every walk of life - we look forward to building on our amazing foundation and continuing to make Highland Oaks a great place to call home.
